Though the clip is not new, it dates back to 2011. Still, it’s going to matter at this critical moment and situation. The movie is going to release on January 25, 2017, a day before our republic day.
Complications with the release
The movie has already been delayed once for release. It was planned to be released on 6 July 2016 on the eve of Eid. But, was postponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Sultan.
This time too it is going to face a stiff competition from Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil , also scheduled to be released on 25 January 2017. And the eruption of a fresh controversy is surely going to be a serious matter.
The background of the controversy.
The year 2016 saw strained relations between India and Pakistan. It all started with the barbaric Uri attack on 18 September. The attackers killed 17 soldiers, and 19 were badly injured.
Following which Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) issued a firm ultimatum to all the Pakistani actors and musicians to leave India within 48-hour, dropping Bollywood projects they were doing. MNS also threatened to disrupt film sets and movies studios employing any Pakistani artistes.
It is interesting to note that a few day ago in December, SRK met Raj Thackeray at his residence in connection with the safe release of his movie.
Give respect, get respect!
It would be interesting to see how things are going to turn for SRK’s Raees but, the clip is definitely going to hit the movie badly. If the artist has such credentials, Indian fans surely won’t like it.
