The Government has recently launched a malware analysis centre, which is known as the Cyber Swachhta Kendra (CSK). In any case, the launch of this centre is basically to promote cyber security.
What all the CSK will provide?
The CSK centre is actually launched by the ministry of electronics and information technology (MEITY). The members of this centre will work with various Internet Service Providers, anti-virus companies, banks and academia in the industry.
This will provide a digital tool enabling data protection and remove the malicious content on the computers and mobile phones.
The Goal of Launching CSK?
Furthermore, this launch will make India to take a big lead in the digitization process of the world. However, India Government has already joined hands with various countries that are using malware cleaning systems, for their citizens.
For now the CSK has 13 banks and internet service providers who are using this facility. By the end of the year the startups will be rushing towards the area of cyber city, as the digital footprint will expand in the country, this is confirmed by Ravi Shankar, Minister of electronics and information technology.
How the centre will work?
Firstly, all the alerts, which are related to any malicious content or data and are penetrating into the system of the user, will be disseminated from the Kendra to various different ISPs.
The ISPs will further pass it onto the users via messages or emails. Based on all these alerts, the users will be able to visit the website of CSK. On the site the users can find and download the tools for cleaning their systems for free.
Development of the centre
Furthermore, the estimated budget, which has been spent on the development of the centre is about Rs 90 crore. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Quick Heal Technologies and Amrita University are responsible for the development of CSK.
